The Quinn technical team will be joined by the Sto team at many of the regional seminars for an additional CPD seminar on external wall insulation systems.
The content of Quinn’s new seminars focuses on single leaf masonry construction, and how this can contribute to rapid build construction while improving building performance.
Attendees will also learn how single leaf masonry construction can reduce construction costs when compared to other rapid build solutions. The seminar will demonstrate how passive house and nZEB standards can be achieved using single leaf construction, while delivering improved thermal and structural performance.
An outline of the seminar content includes the history of single leaf masonry in Ireland; the importance of effective insulation; historical problems with single leaf masonry; single leaf versus cavity wall construction; advancements in single leaf masonry – ETICS; aircrete and solid masonry construction; and thin joint technology.
This seminar will be complimented by Sto’s external wall insulation CPD, which will help architects and construction professionals to understand external wall insulation systems, the different types available, and how to specify them correctly.
Declan Loane of Quinn’s technical team said: “With increasing demand for better housing, faster, everyone in the construction fraternity is tasked with finding solutions which will deliver just that. As major industry suppliers, we have a responsibility to deliver solutions to meet these demands, and to work with all stakeholders to ensure the best use of our products through a fabric first approach to improved building standards.”
Following the launch of Quinn Building Products’ newest offering, SIMS by Quinn, the seminars will help those interested in using this rapid build solution and provide the opportunity to discuss projects with members of the Quinn and Sto technical teams.
