Rainwater Harvesting Ltd gets WRAS approval
RainWater Harvesting Ltd has announce that both its direct feed and award winning gravity-fed Rain Director system have achieved Water Regulation Advisory Scheme approval, ensuring that they comply to all UK regulations.
Here's some more details from the company:
As demand on mains water supply increases and water rates rise there has never been a better time to include rainwater harvesting in a building project. Rainwater can be used for any non-potable application including toilet flushing, washing machines and outside use. This can cut use of mains water by up to 50%.
Rainwater Harvesting Ltd are pleased to announce that both its direct feed and award winning gravity-fed Rain Director system have WRAS approval ensuring that they comply to all UK regulations. The company was formed eight years ago after one of the directors put a harvesting system in whilst adding an extension to an existing property. The components were delivered ‘as a bag of bits’ making it a challenge to the builder. Being a production engineer Adrian Lester’s response was "I can do better than this".
From the development of the company it has become a major player in the market due to its forward thinking and innovative products. The UK manufacturer has developed complete systems with the trade and end-user in mind. From the tank to the labels its all included. They are simple to install and with the advantage of shallow dig tanks the costs have been significantly reduced. The user-friendly features of the Rain Director means that water is available in any eventuality and running costs are less than 1p/per person/day.
Fitting a harvesting system is not complicated but the company runs training courses on behalf of The United Kingdom Rainwater Harvesting Association.
